NEW BOOK BY AUTHOR

Bess Vaughn Clark was in the process of compiling yet another book on the "burned" county of Twiggs.  As with her last book, if you have unpublished material on Twiggs County and would like to have it considered for publication at no cost to you, please contact  Francis Clark at author@twiggscounty.com. Since the book is almost complete her son plans to publish for her posthumously

Twiggs County has lost two of its greatest supporters.  Bess Vaughn Clark died January 30, 2007 and Judge Duross Fitzpatrick died January 6, 2008.  Both Bess and Duross were very interested in history and genealogy.  They both were instrumental as benefactors in the preservation of Historic Richland Church and other landmarks.
